Shri Vijay Kumar Gupta was born on 5th May, 1946 at Kaithal, Haryana. He did his schooling from Yadvindra Public School, Patiala, B.Com. from St. Xaviers College, Ranchi and Diploma in Business Management from Adrian College, USA.
He is the Managing Director of Beekay Group of Companies. He believes that success in any sphere of life is only possible with a strong belief, discipline, determination and timely implementation. These are the founding principles of Beekay Group, who have done extensive activities in manufacturing Metallurgical Equipment, Iron and Steel Castings, Technological Structures as well as Turnkey & Infrastructure Projects.
As recognition to his services, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue conferred upon him the "SAMMAN PATRA" for his valuable contribution to the Customs and Central Excise Revenue for the year 1998-'99.
His love for education led to the establishment of Bhilai Institute of Technology in the year 1987. It is the first private Engineering College of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh, which now nurtures 5000 students from all over India and is rated as the best private Engineering & Management Institution in Chhattisgarh.
