LEARNING PROGRAM

Rungta Public School, Bhilai is a Co. Ed., Day - cum - Boarding Senior Secondary (K-XII) English Medium School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi vide Affiliation No. 3330201.

CBSE CURRICULUM

The school follows CBSE Curriculum and prepares children for Secondary School Examination (Class X) & Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) conducted by the CBSE every year.

CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM

To implement the RPS teaching and learning philosophy, we follow the Cambridge curriculum and CBSE Curriculum in the Primary and Secondary years.

ACADEMIC SEMESTER

The academic year is divided into two semesters:

  1. First Semester: April to September
  2. Second Semester: October to March.

ASSESSMENT & EVALUATION

No formal examination. Promotion to next class is granted on the basis of pupil’s day to day class room and out-of class activities.

I - IX & XI:

Promotion to the next class for all classes is based on the whole year's performance i.e. progress achieved during the Weekly Tests, Periodic Tests, and Two Term Exams. The passing marks is 33% as per the CBSE guidelines.

X & XII:

The student is required to pass the Secondary & Senior Secondary School Board Examination conducted by the CBSE.

TEACHER'S TRAINING

Teacher’s Training and Learning is a continuous process. At RPS, the teachers are provided at least 2-3 On-Job-Trainings (OJT) during an academic year as per CBSE “Capacity Building Program”.
